Best Sunscreens for Oily Acne Prone Skin

If you have oily skin, you know how much of a struggle it can be, and adding a layer of greasy sunscreen is the last thing you want to do. Thankfully for you, I’ve tried a many different sunscreen formulas to find the perfect one! These are the best ones I’ve come across for oily acne prone skin! Be sure to leave a comment below telling me if you’ve tried any of these and what sunscreens you enjoy for oily skin!

1. Best Mineral Sunscreen

The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Tinted Mineral Sunscreen has a lightweight non greasy feel. It dries down to a semi-matte finish and give the most beautiful tinted glow! Plus it works well under makeup! If you have very fair skin, I recommend their non tinted mineral sunscreen.

2. Best Affordable Drugstore Sunscreen

An affordable drug store option is the Cerave Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion. It doubles as a moisturizer and sunscreen combo and is ultra light just like it claims to be! The formula contains organic (chemical) UV filters, so it won’t leave a white cast!

3. Best Matte Sunscreen

The Paula’s Choice Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 is my favourite sunscreen for oily skin. It dries down completely matte in just a few minutes and has a nice light tint that prevents it from leaving a white cast. The formula is extremely lightweight and enjoyable to apply. In fact, this was the first product that actually made me WANT to apply sunscreen! If you are reading this and happen to have skin on the drier side, I wouldn’t recommend this because it will dry you out even more! I love that this product comes in a mini size, so you can try it before committing to the full size!

4. Best Sunscreen Stick

Reapplying your sunscreen throughout the day is important, especially if you are going to be outside in the sun. This Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face & Body Stick makes reapply so easy and leaves a non greasy finish. You can apply this over makeup because it is so smooth and invisible. BONUS: use it on the top of your hands!
